Unknown piercing?

Question.. is this an actual, named piercing that I can get at a tattoo/piercing place? Someone I know (unprofessional piercer) says it’s not. I love it, and want it, but will people be willing professionally do it? Thanks (:

That’s an Ashley piercing (or an inverse vertical labret, if you’re not one of those dill-holes who enjoys cutesy-poo madeup names for piercings), and while they’re not terribly common, we’ve done a few of them at my little shop, so I imagine most experienced piercers would have at least heard of it, if not done a few. They’re not particularly rocket science to work out, technique and placement-wise. I should think you could find someone to do it for you!

  2. YES! that’s an inverse vertical labret known as “Ashely”
I had one like a year ago, got it done with not a quite experienced piercer, actually I have the guy the instructions of how it was the same as the regular vertical labret but instead of coming out towards the outer side of my lip it just came out in my mouths direction… he actually did a nice job :)

  3. The only issue with Inverse Vertical Labrets (yes, I’m that guy) is that some shops might not keep the jewelry in stock.

Curved barbel, flat end on one side ball end on the other.

At least that’s what I was told when I went to get it done a while back. Settled on a Vertical Labret instead. Wish I would’ve waited and ordered the jewelry.

  4. Seriously, if your piercer carries any kind of decent jewellery, it’s not that hard to thread a disc onto a curved barbell. :P

  5. I just got this done as soon as my birthday hit early October. :D It is a fantastic piercing that I have had no problems with whatsoever so far! It is placed so it doesn’t hit my teeth, though my tongue hits it when I speak. My piercer actually took a picture of it once he was finished. :P He had to take it with his phone though because he thought on a Sunday, there would be no interesting piercings. xD
