Heal Time After Jewelry Removal

Once you remove the barbell from a frenum piercing, how long will it take for the whole to close? Thanks.

Any fully healed piercing, once removed, will never fully close. The fistula (inside tunnel) will shrink a fair amount over time depending on your anatomy, how long you have had it pierced and what gauge it was done at.

You should be able to remove the jewellry during sexual contact (once fully healed!) and pop it back in after with no problems, however after a couple hours the fistula will tighten up and it can become uncomfortable or even impossible to put it back in your self.

I have tapered open frenum piercings that have been left out for a number of years with no problems, but it is a bit pinchy to get done.
